Change behavior when a focused search does not find a result. Please provide a message vs showing the filter selection.
When using the focused search in any of the following areas:
a) Order Search
b) Quote Search
c) Invoice Search
d) Shipment Search
e) Open items
f) Payment search
When a value is searched but not found, the filter selection is returned to the user. This confuses the user, and they try to re-run the filter. This adds extra time and frustration. It would be much better if a message were provided to the user. The message could be a translation similar to this:
""Searched value" (< Variable) not found. Please check your input and try again or Clear your search"
Additionally, users often copy and paste items from other tables in the application into the search and get a blank (Maybe a tab character) before their characters. This is a leading cause of the failures, could some validation be added to the search input to prevent that blank character?
