Ability to show different news blocks based on customer group or pricing profile

This is similar to the banner area request on how we'd use that area to highlight announcements, but the banner will be shown at the area of our choice without relying on the customers to navigate to news.
Although this seems more segmented and more work to manage on who should see which news. I would need to get feedback from the pricing admin once there's more details on this.
